Housing Access
Housing supplies appear to be sufficient at this time. However, housing dollars to pay even affordable housing costs are limited. Although we know that we are saving dollars overall by housing people, we have yet to translate directly savings in one sector (such as the emergency shelter system) to another sector (housing).
Operational Funding
We have secured over $100,000 of $300,000 that is needed to properly staff and operate this initiative. These funds include direct services like rental assistance and helping someone begin to meet her housing needs. Without a full commitment, Metropolitan Homelessness Project is stretched thin.
